Olympic welcomes pulmonary physician

Pulmonologist Raj Deol, M.D., has joined Olympic Medical Physicians Specialty Clinic Sequim. He also will see patients in Port Angeles.

Deol is board certified in internal medicine and completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at the University of Iowa Hospitals. He followed up his three-year internal medicine residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine with an additional year as chief resident. His professional interest is in providing a broad and comprehensive pulmonary and critical care practice.

"My mission," Deol said, "is to provide optimal clinical care and apply cutting-edge medical evidence that will result in improvements in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of lung disease."

Deol said he is looking forward to working in the Sequim and Port Angeles communities.

"Being a physician in this community means developing close relationships with patients and their families and offering the highest quality patient care. This contribution to a stable community provides a sense of belonging that is personally fulfilling," he said.

An avid biker and traveler, he lives in Sequim with his wife and their three young children.
