OPNET reports of sentencing in Port Angeles drug cases
Messenger sentenced in methamphetamine case
Christina L. Messenger, 52, of Port Angeles, was sentenced on Aug. 26 to 24 months probation.
The sentence is a result of Messenger’s Aug. 12 guilty plea to delivery of methamphetamine, which was committed on Feb. 27, 2013.
During the investigation, the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team developed probable cause to believe that Messenger delivered methamphetamine to OPNET members. Messenger’s criminal history includes prior convictions for possession of a controlled substance and attempt to obtain a legend drug.
Also during this case, Kenneth Simmons, 50, a Clallam County resident, was arrested and charged with delivering methamphetamine to OPNET members. When OPNET and Washington State Patrol SWAT members executed a narcotics search warrant in the 300 block of Marshall Road east of Sequim, OPNET recovered firearms and stolen property from Clallam, Jefferson and Mason counties.
Reynolds sentenced in heroin case
Anthony L. Reynolds, 25, of Port Angeles, was sentenced to 24 months probation on Aug. 7.
Reynolds’ sentence was the result of a guilty plea entered July 2 to delivery of heroin, which was committed on May 7, 2014.
During an investigation, Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team members developed probable cause to believe that Reynolds delivered heroin to OPNET. Reynolds’ criminal history includes two prior convictions for theft in the first degree.
Also during this case, Renee L. Roening, 22, also of Port Angeles, was arrested and charged with delivering heroin to OPNET. A Lexus sedan was seized when OPNET executed a search warrant for a home then occupied by Reynolds and Roening in the 500 block of West Ninth Street in Port Angeles.
