The state Department of Transportation has scheduled overnight closures of the Hood Canal bridge on state Highway 104 from 10 p.m.-5 a.m. from Tuesday evening through Friday morning, July 9-12.
The seven-hour closures will allow work crews to complete the replacement of worn shock absorbers on the bridge.
The overnight closures have been rescheduled several times due to delays in the center lock replacement, which must be completed before the shock absorbers can be replaced.
Due to the nature of the work, the bridge will not open for any traffic, including emergency vehicles, during the overnight closures.
The overnight work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled.
