Sequim residents can discover Peninsula College’s community education class schedule, meet the instructors and register for a variety of courses at an open house from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Dungeness Design, 520 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.
Learn more about computer applications, creative media, residential design, cooking and more and get answers to questions on course content and what courses one may take.
Some of the instructors available to talk about the courses they are teaching include:
_ DJ Bassett, a longtime professional photographer and photo educator, who is teaching several classes in photography including "Making a Portfolio," "Copying Art for Artists," "Photographing 3-D Objects" and "Photo Saturdays – Outdoor Photo Adventures."
_ Renne Brock_Richmond, an artist and digital media maven, who is teaching classes in "Computer Basics," "Photoshop Elements," "Web site Design" and several "Social Media" applications.
_ Magdalena Bassett, a culinary master and cookbook author, who is teaching classes on "German and Polish Dinners," "Potluck Dazzle" and "Yeast Breads and Cakes."
_ Karla Forsbeck, architect and sustainable design proponent, who is teaching Google Sketchup’s 3_D drawing and modeling software and a remodel planning workshop for homeowners with Leslie Rosaschi of Leslie Rosaschi Designs.
