Peninsula College’s men earned their second consecutive draw to open the season, playing Whatcom to a 0-0 tie Sept. 2 in Port Angeles Thursday.
Goalkeepers Alec Risk and Jared Wilson each had three saves to shut down the Orcas.
“We are still trying to figure things out right now but it is great to see our defense not give up a goal and to have two goal keepers get shutouts,” said Andrew Chapman, Peninsula’s coach.
Each team had eight shots on goal.
The Pirate men (0-0-2) are back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 7 versus Edmonds.
