Sequim Little League’s 2016 season got off to a festive start as nearly 300 boys and girls from T-ball to girls senior softballers took to the fields at James Standard Park on Saturday, April 16.

New leadership, a new season and those familiar Opening Day sounds …

Sequim Little League’s 2016 season got off to a festive start as nearly 300 boys and girls from T-ball to girls senior softballers took to the fields at James Standard Park on Saturday, April 16.

Janet Gray, who helps the league with fundraising, said the league has about 285 youths enrolled with five softball teams, seven baseball squads, three coed teams (prep division) and another six T-ball teams.

Leading the way are new board members Tyler Sweet (president), Craig Vig (vice president), Karyn McCracken (secretary) and Mandy Abrams (treasurer).
