Clallam County Superior Court
Lovera Marjorie Blackcrow – Blackcrow, 30, Port Angeles, had her trial rescheduled to May 3 due to unavailability of witnesses. She was released without bail pending trial. Blackcrow faces one count of vehicular homicide – DUI. According to court records, Blackcrow allegedly was driving her Ford Expedition under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 16, 2009, when she collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at Dry Creek Road and Edgewood Drive in Port Angeles, resulting in the death of the motorcycle passenger, Shelly Bartlett.
Mark Juan Buckner, 47, Sequim, was sentenced Feb. 2 to eight months electronic home monitoring with credit for eight days served on one count of delivery of a controlled substance. He also must obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow any recommended treatment. He will be on 12 months probation and must pay $1,900 in fines and court costs. One count of intimidating a witness was dismissed.
Cory A. Furford – Furford, 20, Port Angeles, was sentenced Jan. 27 on one count of possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana. A second count was dismissed. He will serve 31 days in jail with credit for time served and pay $2,150 in fines and court costs. According to court records, Furford was found in possession of marijuana and heroin Jan. 2 during a search following his arrest on an outstanding warrant.
Linda Hahn – Hahn, 62, Springfield, Colo., was sentenced Feb. 3 on one count of tampering with a witness. She was given 30 days in jail converted to 240 hours community service and required to pay $800 in fines and court costs plus restitution to be determined. Hahn also is required to notify the court prior to any change of address or employment. She is prohibited from contacting the victim or her family for five years. According to court documents, Hahn posed as her son Aaron and sent three e-mails to his victim to convince her not to testify in Aaron’s murder solicitation trial.
Kesa Marie Hobson – Hobson, 26, Sequim, had her arraignment rescheduled to Feb. 19 on four counts of making or uttering a false prescription. According to court records, Hobson allegedly altered the dates and amounts of Vicodin prescriptions she obtained from three doctors on numerous occasions between October and December 2009.
Ronald Wilbur Richmond – Richmond, 46, Sequim, was sentenced Jan. 26 on one count each of third-degree assault/law enforcement officer and fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. One count of resisting arrest was dismissed. The sentence included 152 days in jail with credit for 130 days served and 22 days converted to 176 hours of community service. It also included another 365 days in jail with 273 days suspended for 24 months. Richmond must pay $1,450 in fines and court costs and will be on probation for 24 months. He also is prohibited from using alcohol or visiting bars and must submit to random drug testing and home visits to ensure compliance. He is required to undergo treatment for substance abuse and domestic violence. According to court records, Richmond allegedly assaulted his wife and stepson on Aug. 1 and then bit the arresting officer.
Kristen Schmidt – Schmidt, 46, Sequim, had a charge of delivery of a controlled substance dropped on Feb. 2. According to court records, Schmidt was charged July 6, 2009, after she allegedly sold cocaine in December 2008.
Jeremiah Jackson – Jackson, 24, Sequim, was sentenced Feb. 3 on two counts of possession of OxyContin and one count of residential burglary. Counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and third-degree theft were dismissed with prejudice in December 2009, meaning they can’t be refiled. Jackson will serve a local option "drug offender sentencing alternative" that includes substance abuse evaluation and treatment, paying $2,150 in fines and court costs and being on 24 months probation. He also is prohibited from contacting his victim for 10 years. According to court records, Jackson admitted to stealing OxyContin and methadone from an unsecured safe in March 2009. He also plotted with others to burglarize a Sequim residence on Aug. 29, 2009. On Sept. 12, 2009, sheriff’s deputies searched Jackson’s home and found the safe stolen in the Aug. 29 burglary, court records stated.
Tanya Rae Gardner – Gardner, 36, Sequim, was charged Feb. 1, 2010 with three counts of delivery of OxyContin. According to court records, Gardner allegedly sold pills to an undercover informant three times in July 2008. Trial was set for April 12. Gardner also faces a Feb. 24 trial on one count each of possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana and use of drug paraphernalia. According to court records, Gardner was arrested during a search of a house at 255 Roupe Road after methamphetamine and a pipe allegedly were found.
Miles Keith Stayton – Stayton, 25, Port Angeles, was charged Feb. 3 with one count each of possessing a stolen firearm and second-degree trafficking in stolen property. His trial was set for April 19. According to court records, Stayton allegedly sold a gun believed to be stolen from a Port Angeles home in January. The arrest was part of a larger investigation into a series of daytime home burglaries in the county.
Christopher Bayley – Bayley, 34, Sequim, was charged Feb. 1 with possession of a controlled substance. According to court records, Bayley allegedly was found in possession of a pipe and methamphetamine during a search of his home on Jan. 30. Arraignment was set for Feb. 12. He also faces a drug court hearing on a 2009 case.
