Power restored in Port Angeles

Mike Howe, communications coordinator for Clallam County PUD, reported at 11 a.m. today (Dec. 13) power outages at stoplights along US Highway 101 in the Port Angeles area.

Power went down to 1,600 customers. It came back briefly for about eight minutes before failing again at 11:50 a.m.

Drivers experienced some delays at the Monroe Road intersection and intersection on the 2800 block (Safeway) of Highway 101.

Power was fully restored at 1:05 p.m.

Howe said the probable cause as a faulty breaker at the Monroe Substation.
