The City of Sequim hopes to close the Olympic Discovery Trail’s "missing link" with the help of the public. 

A forum is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St.

The so-called "missing link" is a mile-long section of unconnected trail between Carrie Blake Park and North Sequim Avenue.

One proposal with little impact, city officials say, is using the existing roadway on one of the nearby roads as the bike trail and sidewalks as the pedestrian path. The roadway option would require signs and lane paint, but an option adding sidewalks would require a bit more work because of American Disability Act regulations.
