The North Olympic Peninsula Railroaders’ tenth Train Show and Swap Meet was their largest yet, club president Lauren Scrafford said.
Hundreds of people from the Olympic Peninsula and surrounding areas came to Sequim Prairie Grange to buy, trade and try model trains of all types.
Door prizes were given out every hour on Saturday and Sunday with many young children receiving their first taste of railroading through the event.
Club members said they hoped the event would be a new way to reach more people to keep the hobby alive.
The North Olympic Peninsula Railroaders’ next meeting is 3p.m. Oct. 31, at Sequim Library.
