Belicia “Belle” Muñoz, manager of Sequim Serenity Thrift Shop, 551 W. Washington St., took a few minutes during this busy holiday shopping time to answer Random Questions in between helping customers and running to the bank.

Muñoz said she’s not much for Black Friday shopping because she feels people should spend that time at home with family and/or friends. She’s been in Sequim for 17 years and has worked on and off with Serenity House for 13 years.

Question 35: Do you have pets?

Muñoz: Four cats. Bailey, Kahlua, Lucy and Crush like the orange soda. Crush is mysteriously (age) 13-15, Lucy is 6 and Bailey and Kahlua are 9.

Bonus Question 1: Are you a cat person?

Muñoz: I am now. I had a dog until three months ago. He died. I had him for 16 years.

Question 37: Have you been in the newspaper before?  If so, for what?

Munoz: Yes, for the grand opening of the Serenity Shop and different things with it but always for the Serenity Shop.

Question 41: Who is one person you would arm wrestle?

Muñoz: This is so difficult. I don’t want to arm wrestle anybody. I hate fighting. Fighting is horrible.

Question 48: What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Muñoz: Hire someone with no experience because they come with no bad habits, yet.

I learned that from my first manager when I lived in New Orleans in 1981.

Question 26: Have you ever broken a bone? If so, how?

Muñoz: I broke my tibia and fibula. It’s a very boring story but I stepped wrong coming down a step. I tried to pivot and my body went to the right and my leg went to the left.

I was 48 and I was just working in a house and stepped wrong on a step.

Bonus Question 2: Humor us, what is one thing people don’t know about you?

Muñoz: That’s why they don’t know it because I’m not going to tell it. That’s a trick question.
