Celebrate the start of summer with the North Olympic Library System and the Hands On Children’s Museum of Olympia from 2-6 p.m. Monday, June 20, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
This is a time to sign up for the 2016 Summer Reading Program, visit interactive stations, learn about basic circuitry and make things fly.
Participants ages 0-18 receive a free book when they sign up for the summer reading program, set for June 20-Aug. 20. The program offers an array of events and incentive-based reading programs to encourage children to read during their summer vacations. For every 14 hours kids and teens (ages 3-18) read, they will be entered into a grand prize drawing. Readers of all ages who read 100 hours or more get a special T-shirt.
