After a couple of years in the garage, the Sequim Irrigation Festival’s Classic Cruise & Show is back, and registration is open now for the event that bookends the festival’s Grand Parade on Saturday, May 13.
Featuring more than 20 class car awards/categories from best street rod car/pickup to top sportscar, plus five motorcycle categories, this event traditionally brings out 150-200 classic, unique cars to parade along Washington Street.
Register online at sequimirrigationfestival.enmotive.com/events/car-show-n-cruzz.
This year, cars will be available for spectators on Sequim’s east end at 250 Center Park Way.
Cars are staged on the west end (651 W. Washington St.) from 8-10 a.m., with the cruise and Grand Parade following at noon. Car show judging is from noon-4 p.m., with awards announced at 4 p.m.
Dan Shappie said organizers of the Car Cruise & Show are looking to make more of a connection between the car show and nearby Logging Show (near Carrie Blake Community Park), so they’ll have a shuttle between the two events.
Shappie said about 2,000 people come through the car show each year.
