The weekly blotter includes incidents that occurred in the City of Sequim and in unincorporated Clallam County in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley area.

Clallam County Fire District 3 reports that from March 29-April 5, their crews responded to 232 incidents.

Staff said that during this past week during a time of elevated call volume, FD3’s used all available career staff response units to manage simultaneous calls for service. As a result, a General Alarm was issued prompting volunteer firefighters to assist in staffing stations and apparatus to ensure continued service. Staff encourage everyone to dial 911 for immediate emergency assistance, such as for serious medical emergencies, fires, and/or life-threatening situations. There are many resources available online to learn more about what counts as an emergency situation, but if you are unsure, it’s wise to call.
