The second annual River Center 5k Run, a fundraiser for the Dungeness River Audubon Center, takes place this year along the Sequim Irrigation Festival parade route on Saturday, May 12, the morning of the parade, beginning at the JC Penney parking lot, 651 W. Washington St.

Racers, joggers, walkers and strollers are welcome, and medals will be awarded in different age groups.

The entrance fee is $10 by May 3 and $15 thereafter. Family rate is $25 for up to six people. T-shirts may be pre-ordered by May 1 for $15.

Day-of-event registration begins at 9:45 a.m., with line-up for start at 10 a.m. The course closes at 10:55 a.m.; slower walkers may finish on city sidewalks.
