Hundreds of stock and modified cars will be on display.
The Ruddell Auto Mall in Port Angeles will roar to life Friday, July 9, as hundreds of classic cars participate in the 14th annual Ruddell Cruise In.
Car dealer Howie Ruddell said last year more than 400 cars participated.
“We were full within 30 minutes of opening the gate last year and expect the same again,” he said.
Nearly a dozen car clubs are expected to participate, in addition to individuals. The Old Timers Northwest Car Club from Bremerton is co-hosting the event.
Music will be performed by “The Way Back Machine” for entertainment. Benefits from a dunk tank featuring various local celebrities will go to local charities. Radio KONP 1450 will be broadcasting live from the event and food will be offered for a nominal charge.
Registration will take place on the day of the event at the entrance. There is no charge for admission or for display. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Because of the limited space, incomplete project cars and post-1972 cars are not allowed.
Plaques will be awarded for a variety of categories including Best of Show, People’s Choice and Farthest Distance Traveled.
