O’Neil graduates from emergency program
Sequim High School student Riley O’Neil recently graduated from the "Ready, Set, Go" emergency preparedness class, along with other members of the People First Club of the Life Skills class at Sequim High School.
First Teacher times
The First Teacher program hosts several weekly programs for family members of preschool children and expecting parents.
First Teacher hosts special Friday morning events from 10-11:30 a.m.
On Dec. 19, the classroom is set aside for quiet, relaxing time, when parents can take a break from their holiday schedules and enjoy some light refreshments while the children play in the activity room.
First Teacher also hosts "Parenting Workshop: The Incredible Years." This begins Jan. 5 and is a featured activity in the room from 5-8 p.m. each Monday and Thursday for 10 total sessions. Preregistration is required.
Finally, a "Ready! For Kindergarten" class is slated for 6-8 p.m. Jan. 27 in the First Teacher room. This is a three-session class for parents of 2- and 4-year-olds. Preregistration is required.
The First Teacher classroom is in Room 4W, Sequim Community School, 220 W. Alder St. The room is closed from Dec. 22-Jan. 5 for winter break.

Choir boosters
meeting canceled
The Sequim Choir Booster board meeting slated for Dec. 17 has been canceled.
The next booster meeting is scheduled for Jan. 21 in the choir room at Sequim High School.
