It’s a cold, wet start to the day for Gary Neal, Sequim School District assistant superintendent, left, and district business manager Brian Lewis, who made good on an ice bucket challenge from Sequim schools superintendent Kelly Shea.

The challenge promotes awareness for the ALS Foundation, which researches a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Dumping the ice water were Halie Wilson (background, left) and Ryley Boyce, Lewis’ cousin.

Prior to the icy shower, Lewis challenged sons Carson, Jacob and Skylar Lewis, while Neal challenged his wife Heather Neal, daughters Shelby Neal and Brittney Neal, and college roommate Dan Wodrich.
