Dozens of public safety organizations in Sequim and its surrounding communities will gather once again for Sequim’s second-annual Safety Fair, scheduled for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Guy Cole Event Center in Carrie Blake Community Park, 202 N. Blake Ave.
The purpose of the event, organizers note, is to increase public awareness of local services that are actively dedicated to enhancing local public safety on a daily basis throughout the year.
The fair will feature displays of fire trucks and equipment used by Clallam County Fire District 3, police cars and boats, a LifeFlight helicopter, fire extinguisher demonstrations, and several indoor displays and handout materials.
The event will also feature a series of informative safety lectures, children’s activities and homesteading displays.
Attendees can also get information about how to become involved in some form of public service.
The Safety Fair is sponsored by the City of Sequim, Fire District 3 and members of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program.
Food is provided, and door prizes will be awarded.
