Second Family History Jamboree

The Family History Center of the Port Angeles Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is sponsoring the second Jamboree “A Piece of the Puzzle,” 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at 591
Monroe Road in Port Angeles.
Registration and the Surname Wall begin at 8 a.m.
The community event is free with several workshops and activities including virtual guest speaker Ron Tanner, a family search expert from Salt Lake City, Utah; local family history specialists Kathleen Barrett, Norman and Linda Rees; Kathy Monds, executive director of the Clallam County Historical Society; Thomas Kemp’s Genealogy boot camp webinar from Cromwell, Conn.
Topics include “A source, a source! My kingdom for a source,” “What public libraries can offer in doing family history,” and the latest information on the online Family Search Library Catalog and Research system.
A box lunch is available with pre-registration.
Pick up registration at the Family History Center, Port Angeles Library, Clallam County Genealogical Society and Clallam County Historical Society.
