It’s a youth-led affair at the next Science Café as young scientists and engineers from the Sequim School District serve up “We Can See Science From Our House!
Sequim Science Fair Club and Sequim High School FRC Robotics Team Present Their 2016 Research and Development Projects” on Tuesday, June 14.
Their Science Café program, presented by the Sequim Education Foundation, is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Paradise Restaurant, 703 N. Sequim Ave.
Members of the Science Fair Club, along with mentor Deb Beckett, present extracurricular research projects which have been underway for many months, culminating in competitive presentations presented at this year’s Washington State Science and Engineering Fair. The club has a history of success in development of advanced research projects.
Also presenting will be the high school Robotics team. They will display a robot they designed and manufactured to compete in the 2016 first robotics international challenge, known as “First Stronghold.”
The Science Café is a community service of the Sequim Education Foundation.
Programs present expert speakers for adult and young adult audiences interested in current developments in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Science Café events are held on the second Tuesday of the month at the Paradise Restaurant. Admission is free and food and beverages are available for purchase.
