OlyCAP announces that effective Aug. 1, it will be partnering with Shipley Center as the new location for the Sequim Senior Meals Program. This is the first change in venue for the Sequim Senior Meals Program in over 20 years.
OlyCAP director of community services Carolyn Anderson said, “We have such a great group of community partners and volunteers helping to support this program. We are thrilled with this new location and look forward to working closely with Shipley Center.”
Starting in August meals will be served Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:30 p.m. for a $5 donation from each guest. Reservations can be made by calling 683-8491 before 3 p.m. the day before. For more information or help making a reservation, call Gabe at 683-8491.
There will be no change in the senior meals schedule for June and July while the transition to the new venue is made.
Michelle Rhodes, development and program manager at Shipley Center, said, “As an organization, we feel it is important that we are not only a place of friendship, recreation and education for our members, but also a resource for the community.”
The Sequim Senior Meals Program saw 5,862 meals served and 6,816 meals delivered in 2014.
