Hannah Stephens has gone from promoting purple and gold to U of Alabama crimson.

The 2010 graduate of Sequim High School is battling other sports-crazed folks in the FanSided Sports’ Fan of the Year.

Stephens is competing against four others across the nation.

Stephens  — daughter of former Sequim residents John and Cindy Stephens — was involved in several sports in Sequim, and after graduating from Sequim High, she attended the University of Alabama, where she joined the rowing team, then graduated from Alabama with a degree in sports broadcasting and worked for a sports radio show in Birmingham, Ala.
