Police arrested a 27-year-old Sequim man April 27 on suspicion of child rape.
According to a probable cause report, a 7-year-old elementary school student told classmates about sexual activity between her and Daniel Eli Pace, who is a relative.
Detectives from the Sequim and Port Angeles police departments interviewed the girl, who described to them how Pace would show her pornographic movies mimicking the sex acts he committed on her, detectives said.
Police obtained a search warrant for Pace’s apartment on South Rhodefer Road and took him into custody for questioning, according to the report.
Pace allegedly admitted to some of the accusations but denied having sexual intercourse with the girl, police said.
Deputy Prosecutor Ann Lundwall charged Pace with first-degree child rape, first-degree child molestation and incest in Clallam County Superior Court on May 2. He will be arraigned May 11.
Pace remains in custody at the Clallam County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
