Sequim ready to blossom

It’s time to pitch in to ensure this summer in Sequim is a blooming success.

The Sequim Chamber of Commerce is asking businesses, service organizations and individuals to sponsor a community flower basket, one of those spectacular hanging gardens that adorn the city’s thoroughfares.

The horticulture class at Sequim High School makes the flower baskets for the city. As Emily Westcott with the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce says, “They do a fantastic job.”

A sponsorship is $100. Each flower basket pole will bear the names of the sponsor and the student who made the basket.

Sponsor donations can be mailed to the Sequim Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 907, Sequim, WA 98382.

For more information, call Westcott at 683-0183.
