Shopping options abound this weekend in Sequim.
Whether you are an early bird shopping on Thanksgiving or Black Friday or looking local on Small Business Saturday, many stores in the Sequim-Dungeness area are extending hours while offering plenty of goodies and specials.
Continuing this year are a few free meals on Thanksgiving along with the Sequim tree lighting, Santa Claus coming and a classic tractor procession.
Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, openings:
• Sunny Farms, 261461 U.S. Highway 101, open 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday. Nursery closed.
• Rite Aid, 520 W. Washington St., open 8-5 p.m. Thursday. Pharmacy open 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Walgreens, 490 W. Washington St, open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Thursday. Pharmacy closed.
• JCPenney, 651 W. Washington St., open 3-11 p.m. Thursday and opens 5 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday.
• QFC, 990 E. Washington St., closes at 6 p.m. Thursday and reopens at 5 a.m. Friday.
• Office Depot, 1235 W. Washington St., open 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday.
• Sears, 232 Alley Road, open at 6-11 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday. 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
• Safeway, 680 W. Washington St. remains open 24 hours.
• Walmart, 1110 W. Washington St., remains open Thanksgiving with specials beginning at 6 p.m.
Free Sequim dinners
• Celebrate Thanksgiving at Trinity
A traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner will be served at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave. Reservations are requested by phoning the church at 683-5367 between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. by Wednesday or by e-mail to dinners@sequimtumc.org.
• Free dinner at Hardy’s
Hardy’s Market, 10200 Old Olympic Highway, invites the public to enjoy a complimentary traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Dine in or take with you while supplies last from 11 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.
• Sunshine benefit dinner
Sunshine Cafe hosts its 13th annual freewill donation Harvest Dinner plus all the trimmings from noon-4 p.m. Thursday at 145 W. Washington St. Dine in or carry out. Reservations are suggested; call 683-4282.
• PA Catholic Church offers meal
The Queen of Angeles Catholic Church, 209 W. 11th St., Port Angeles, offers a Thanksgiving dinner from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, with Santa Claus stopping by. Coats, hats and gloves will be given out to those in need along with a Faith, Hope and Love bag (sundries).
Black Friday, Nov. 27 openings:
• Game Stop, 1400 W. Washington St., Ste. 107, opens at 5 a.m. Friday.
• Big 5 Sporting Goods, 171 Alley Road, opens at 5 a.m. Friday.
• The Home Depot, 1145 W. Washington St., opens at 6 a.m. Friday.

• Brian’s Sporting Goods, 542 W. Washington St., opens at 8 a.m. Friday.

• Dungeness Kids Co., 163 W. Washington St., open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday with Sundays continuing until Christmas.
• Hart’s Fine Books, 161 W. Washington St., open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sundays through Christmas. It opens from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Dec. 18-23 and closes at 3 p.m. Christmas Eve.
Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28
American Express, which started Small Business Saturday six years ago, reports an estimated 88 million U.S. consumers shopped on Small Business Saturday last year and spent $14.3 billion at local and independent businesses, organizers report. Many Sequim businesses extend their hours for the event and through the holiday season.
• The Museum & Arts Center, 175 W. Cedar St., open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday for the North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival Show and Sale.
• A Dropped Stitch, 136 S. Second Ave. open until 6 p.m. Saturday.

• Local Yarn Shop, 213 E. Washington St. Ste. 1, open until 6 p.m. Saturday.

• Celebrate with Santa, tractors and more
Sequim City Band opens a full day of activities at Sequim Centennial Place at the intersection of Washington Street and Sequim Avenue.
The band will perform at 1 p.m. with Santa arriving via carriage at 2 p.m. and at 4:30 p.m. the community tree lighting takes place. A participant who counts correct amount of lights could win $100.
