Several Sequim organizations are offering free meals on Thursday, Nov. 23, for Thanksgiving:
Community dinner at Sequim Boys & Girls Club
The Olympic Peninsula Healthy Community Coalition will hold a community Thanksgiving dinner from noon-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23. The public is invited to partake in the holiday dinner at the Sequim unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula, 400 W. Fir St.
RSVPs were requested by Nov. 18; call 360-797-0212 to see if there is available space. Attendees can arrive dressed in finery for a free family Christmas photo. A special games area will be available for children. For those who need assistance to and from the dinner, free transportation is also available. To arrange transportation, call 360-797-0212.
Church dinner set
A traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner will be served at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave. Reservations are required to ensure enough food is prepared. To place a reservation, call the church at 360-683-5367 between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or email dinnerstumc@aol.com today, Wednesday, Nov. 22.
The free dinner is part of Trinity’s community dinner program. Dinners normally are served on the last Thursday of each month. Because of other holiday season activities, there will be no dinner in December, event organizers said.
Hardy’s offers free meal
Hardy’s Market will offer a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 23. The complimentary traditional meal will be offered while supplies last beginning at 11 a.m. at the market, 10200 Old Olympic Highway. Meals can be dine-in or take-out, one per person. Event organizers request that no one come early. Call 360-582-0240.
