Sequim veterans’ ‘Calvalcade’ display gets new flags

Carlsborg VFW member Larry Klinefelter and Boy Scout Braven Headley raise the new flags in front of the Sequim Museum & Arts recently. The 11 flagpoles have been empty since the death of museum treasurer Louie Rychlik, who built and sponsored the Veterans' Cavalcade of Flags. The old flags were removed when they faded and wore thin. Richard Becker made the first donation toward the purchase of the new flags. The Carlsborg VFW then added $200 to the fund and with the help of another donor, the new flags are now in place. A flag fund is being set up in Rychlik's name to keep the memorial maintained. Find information about the fund is on the museum's website at http://sequimmuseum.com/.
