The resident told police Tomaino splashed gas on him in his apartment during an argument then lit a fire with a cigarette, according to court documents.

The victim extinguished the fire and was not injured, police said.

The scene was processed by investigators from the Port Angeles police and fire departments and detectives continued the investigation.

The Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office reviewed the investigation and charged Tomaino, who remains in Clallam County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
