Soroptimists honor Haggerty
Adrienne Haggerty, a junior at Sequim High School, recently was named Soroptimist International of Sequim Violet Richardson Award winner.
Named in honor of the first president of the first Soroptimist Club, founded in 1921, the award is given to a girl who has been outstanding in her volunteer work.
Haggerty will begin her third year as a counselor at the Junior Grange Camp at Lake Crescent, where she helps children develop self-confidence, leadership skills, accountability, responsibility and respect for self and others.
