The South Sequim Avenue on- and off-ramps will be closed during daytime hours on Sept. 9 and 10 for repairs, state transportation officials.
From 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, the ramps will close for repairs. Crews plan to repair the eastbound ramps first, followed by the westbound ramps.
Sequim’s eastbound and westbound traffic are encouraged to use the River Road exit; westbound traffic may also choose the Simdars Road exit. Portable message signs placed near this location advise travelers to consider alternate routes.
Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews have scheduled pavement repairs and chip seal ramps as part of the department’s summer maintenance efforts.
All work is weather dependent and could be rescheduled.
