Clallam County Students in grades 6-12 are invited to enter the 17th-annual Sequim Arts Student Show, hosted by the Museum and Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley, in February.
The show, sponsored by Sequim Arts, is open to all public, private and home-schooled students across the county.
All media is accepted, including (but not limited to) oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, drawing, pastel, mixed media, photography, sculpture and ceramics.
All two-dimensional work, including posters, must be matted or framed, and framed art must have a wire attached for hanging.
The Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society also will be giving awards for bird- themed art, and the winning artwork will be displayed during Olympic BirdFest 2011 at the Dungeness River Audubon Center in April.
Applications and complete entry information, including additional information for art teachers, is available online at www.sequimarts.org and www.macsequim.org, and at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St.
The entry fee is $1 per piece, with a limit of two entries per student.
Artwork will be accepted from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, and from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the MAC Exhibit Center.
The Sequim Arts Student Show runs Feb. 4-26. An artists’ reception for this show is from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, with an awards ceremony at 6 p.m., at the exhibit center.
