Jason William Tuff – Tuff, 23, Port Angeles was charged July 2 with one count of third-degree assault, one count of resisting arrest and one count of possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana. According to court records, Tuff allegedly tried to pull a knife on a Sequim Police officer who had stopped him for outstanding warrants. He also allegedly fought with the officer and was found with marijuana in his possession.
Kristen Schmidt – Schmidt, 46, Sequim, was charged July 6 with one count of delivery of a controlled substance. According to court records, Schmidt allegedly sold cocaine in December 2008.
Travis Dan Chapman – Chapman, 36, Sequim had charges of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and one count of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver dismissed with prejudice, meaning they can’t be refiled, on June 26.
Ryan Patrick Weeks – Weeks, 25, Sequim, was sentenced July 1 on charges of fourth-degree assault and second-degree malicious mischief. A third count of intimidating a public servant was dismissed. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for two days served and 28 days converted to electronic home monitoring plus $1,245 in fines and court costs and restitution to be determined.
Loretta Edberg – Edberg, 36, Montclair, Calif., was sent a summons July 6 to appear in Clallam County Superior Court on July 31 to face two charges of first-degree custodial interference. Edberg was arrested May 1 in Montclair, Calif., on investigation of custodial interference. Christopher D. Hanning, 10, and Joshua N. Hanning, 13, were found with their mother in Montclair, Calif., and reunited with their father, Brian Hanning, on May 2.
Anthony Charles Buchanan – Buchanan, 33, Montclair, Calif. was sent a summons July 6 to appear in Clallam County Superior Court on July 31 to face two charges of first-degree custodial interference. Buchanan was the alleged accomplice of Loretta Edberg, who was arrested May 1 in Montclair, Calif.
