Planes, balloons and more took to the skies for the fourth Olympic Peninsula Air Affaire on Aug. 27-28 at the Sequim Valley Airport.
Rain and wind stormed in at inconvenient times canceling the night glow balloon viewing, but several event staples flew on. The West Coast Spin Doctors demonstrated wing walking in the afternoons, Greg Allen of Port Orchard buzzed the crowd in his paramotor, members of local RC plane clubs dazzled with stunts and demonstrations, and live music from local acts played on.
Organizers are optimistic for better weather next year and anticipate a “bigger splash” for the Air Affaire’s fifth year.
