From its three major events, the Trey Green Guild earned more than $80,000 for families and patients in need at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Janet Gray, club president, said about 250 people attended the eighth Wine Gala & Auction on June 1; more support came in from its Golf Scramble on May 31 and a Miles for Miracles run on June 2 during the North Olympic Discovery Marathon.

The group again raised more than its goal, set this year at $75,000, for uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Sequim High School student Tia Bourm spoke about her diagnosis and treatment at the hospital for achalasia, a rare, lifelong, incurable disease in her esophagus. Bailey Bryan, a

Sequim student and patient as well, performed original songs.

Erin Green, who started the guild with her husband, Arthur, in honor of their son Trey Green, said the group continues to do what they hoped it would — support children and families in need.

“It blows us away that it continues to grow,” she said.
