DAR group sets Vietnam ceremony

The ladies of all the DAR Chapters in the state will be holding a ceremony in Olympia on Nov. 11 to remember those veterans who died in Vietnam.

We will be reading the names of the people from each county and ring a bell in their memory. I will be there as will the Regent of Michael Trebert Chapter, NSADAR.

The Chapter will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Veterans Center on Francis Street in Port Angeles.

To continue the Vietnam Commemorative the speaker will be Norm Goodin, a Vietnam veteran, talking about POWs in Vietnam.

If you would like to attend, contact Joyce at n7jpw@juno.com.

Touching tribute

There is now a beautiful cement bench donated by the Korean War Veterans Association and the Clallam County Veterans Association at the Vietnam Memorial located on the Vietnam Memorial Highway 112 near Joyce.

Please stop if you are passing by and think about the veterans who were involved in the conflict.
