Volunteer Hospice offers ‘living alone’ educational series

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is offering a new educational series for individuals facing the challenge of living alone after losing a loved one.

The Survivors’ Four-Week Workshop offers practical answers to everyday problems and provides helpful resources for adapting to the changes that come with loss.  

The series is free to the public and is scheduled for 3-4 p.m. on on Fridays, Dec. 6, Dec. 13, Dec. 20 and Jan. 3, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., Sequim.

Workshops include:

Class 1, Dec. 6 — Financial Management (Susan Burkhardt and guest speaker)

Class 2, Dec. 13 — Home Maintenance (Kay Rudiger and Jan Yates)

Class 3, Dec. 20 — Self-care (Debby Smith, RN and the Rev. Maggie Bourne-Raiswell)

Class 4, Jan. 3 — Cooking for One (Dr. Janelle Doolittle, holiday potluck)
