Magan Waldron has announced that she will compete for the Mrs. Washington Pageant 2018 crown.
The preliminary competition for the nationally televised Mrs. America and Mrs. World competitions will be held June 23 at the Kenneth Minnaert Center for the Arts in Olympia.
According to a news release, if chosen for the title, Waldron will use her platform “Operation Uplift” — an area, volunteer-ran charity — that devotes 100 percent of its donations to support Clallam County residents battling cancer.
The volunteer-run nonprofit is a cancer support organization in Port Angeles that provides free mammograms, offers two breast health clinics per year and provides support for survivors.
She was a top 12 semi-finalist in the Mrs. Washington pageant in 2015 and recipient of the Mrs. Washington America Community Service Award. After missing the 2016 pageant, she competed in the 2017 event.
Waldron works for Olympic Peninsula Title Co. and is a 2000 Port Angeles High School graduate.
She has been married to her husband, Klayton, for about 12 years and they have a 7-year-old son, Kooper.
