The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office welcomes new Corrections Deputy Mark Myers.
He was sworn in by Sheriff Bill Benedict (right) on Sept. 29 in a brief ceremony conducted in the Sheriff’s Office.
Myers will work as a part-time deputy in the county’s corrections facility, filling a current vacancy created by the resignation of former corrections deputy Kimo Velleses. Myers has four years prior military service with the U.S. Navy and three years prior civilian law enforcement with a police department in Kansas.
“I’m happy to be here and to contribute to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office,” Myers said.
He makes his home along with his wife in the Port Angeles area.
