‘What My Home Means to Me’ contest winners announced SLIDESHOW

The Sequim Association of Realtors recently announced the winners of their annual third grade "What My Home Means to Me" contest.

The Sequim Association of Realtors recently announced the winners of their annual third grade “What My Home Means to Me” contest.

First place winners were awarded a bicycle and helmet, second place winners were awarded a scooter with helmet & a gift card and other winners were given gift cards.

Each winner read their essay about what their home means to them and then were presented with their prize.

All third graders in the Sequim School District are welcome to participate in the annual drawing and essay contest. Winners are selected and invited to the event along with their families.

Hurlbut headed up the committee that planned the event and Larsen served as the emcee for the event.

Winners, by school, are:

• Greywolf Elementary

First Place: Hailey Mae Fisher

Second Place: Svea Sparks

Third Place: Phoebe Sampson

• Helen Haller Elementary

Best Picture: Ruby Coulson

1st Place: Kali Biddle

2nd Place: Ila Lily Brumley

3rd Place: Yaya Ayala
