Nurse Bette Wood, patient care manager with Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, presents a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum entitled “Palliative Care: Volunteer Hospice” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., Sequim.
Wood is a “seasoned nurse” of 43 years with background in critical care. She has worked in home health/palliative-hospice for nearly 20 years, the last 10 for Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County. She is passionate about palliative/end of life care for both patients and their loved ones.
Wood shares what people in these situations have taught her as she walked with them through their final journeys.
