Thanks to support from 7 Cedars Casino, YMCA Community Art School art classes for 5- to 12-year-olds are free. The classes include shadow box collages, glass fusing, polymer clay sculpting and book binding on four Saturdays beginning Sept. 26. Their works will be displayed at A Taste of the Peninsula on Nov. 7.
Zumba features Latin rhythms with easy dance moves for a complete aerobic workout. Pilates, indoor cycling and yoga, are free to members. Shape Shifters, a three-month weight loss program, begins Oct. 1.
Fall youth sports include recreational hoops, girls volleyball, gymnastics, dodgeball, judo, kempo karate and aikido. Adult sports include rowing, martial arts, pickleball and racquetball leagues.
Teens can paint, take photography, sign up with the North Olympic Volunteer Center or be a YMCA Youth Legislature delegate. Also available, rowing, martial arts, Teens on Machines, Friday night dodgeball and judo.
Adult and senior art offerings include drawing, painting and an exploration of art mediums and techniques, guitar, digital photography, ballroom dancing and memoir writing.
