Zany times are here again

Library’s Summer Reading Program continues

Things went zany when the skies turned rainy for the Sequim Library when Alex Zerbe, juggler, musician and professional zaniac, performed for the North Olympic Library Summer Reading Program on July 13.

Families filled the Sequim Middle School to see Zerbe spin balls, twirl objects like the Chinese yo-yo and play songs on the spot. Some students got to participate in his routine while everyone got to sing along and enjoy it.

Later in the day he performed in Port Angeles and then was back in Sequim teaching hacky-sack to teenagers. Zerbe has a diverse entertainer’s resume as a two-time Guinness World Record holder. He was voted Seattle’s Funniest Prop Comic and formerly Seattle’s third best air guitarist.

Zerbe is part of the ongoing Wednesday program at the Sequim Library sponsored by the Friends of the Sequim Library. The program promotes summer usage of the library’s services.
