Arthur J. Kessler moved to Sequim in 1987 to take life a little slower, do more fishing, and sell real estate, which he did for 17 years.
He also continued working with the Sequim Valley chapter of the Lions Club, where in 2010 he completed 50 years of
service and was awarded their highest honor, becoming a Melvin Jones Fellow.
He enjoyed working with other members on projects to build the meeting hall at Carrie Blake Park, the skate park and awarding college scholarships to deserving youths.
Art was born in Seattle in 1924 and was a World War II veteran.
