Calvin Josiah White

Sequim resident Calvin Josiah “CJ” White died July 19, 2014, of drowning near Shelton in Lake Cushman at the age of 18. A memorial service will be held 11:11 a.m., Saturday, July 26, at Independent Bible Church, 116 E. Ahlvers Road, Port Angeles.

He was born June 29, 1996, to Samuel and Peggy White, one of eight siblings. He had just finished his junior year through Sequim High School and attended Peninsula College through the Running Start program. He had a passion for ministry and wanted to pursue that as a career.

Survivors include his parents, Peggy Roedell and Samuel White; and siblings Karesandra, Nekoda, Anna, Samantha, Noah, Titus and Eliel White.

The CJ White Special Fund has been established at First Federal to build financial support for the family and help with funeral costs. Donations can be made at any First Federal branch.
