Diana Roberson, 73, of Port Angeles, passed away on October 10, 2014, surrounded by her family at Harrison Memorial Hospital, of heart failure.
She was born on June 18, 1941 in Sequim to Melbourne and Evelyn (Blore) Roberson.
Diana was a lifetime resident of Sequim, where she raised her three children. She attended Sequim High School and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Diana worked in the food service industry for much of her life and spent the last twelve years of her career at Walmart.
Diana enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and beachcombing the various beaches of her community—collecting amazing pieces of driftwood.
Diana is survived by her son, Melbourne (Lisa) Barnes, of Kelso, Washington; daughters, Donna Barnes, of Snohomish, Melanie Barnes, of Port Angeles; sister, Jan Stahl, of Leavenworth, Washington; uncle, Monte Roberson, of Edmonds, Washington; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, William Tuomala; sister, Karen Cays; brother, Douglas Roberson; and grandson, Cory Barnes.
A celebration of life potluck will be held at the Eagles Club #483 at 2843 Myrtle St., in Port Angeles, on Saturday, November 29, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
