Frances Blake

Frances Suzanne (Fowlow) Blake, after a full and rewarding 95 years passed away peacefully in Seattle after suffering a severe stroke. Fran was a long time resident of Diamond Point in Sequim.

She was born in Seattle in 1918. She was raised in Seattle and attended Garfield High School.

In March, 1942 she married Lloyd Blake. Their family grew to include 4 boys.

Fran had the good fortune to live in many interesting places in including Seattle, Shoreline, Whidbey Island, Hawaii, the New Hebrides (now Vanuatu), San Jacinto, California and for the past 28 years on the beach at Diamond Point.

Fran had many interests including attending opera and symphonies with friends, bridge, photography, tennis, golf, art, word puzzles and beach combing. She was an avid reader all her life. Fran loved animals and had many beloved pets over the years.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, in 2002 and son, Steven, in 1994.

She is survived by her sons, John (Valerie), Larry (Carol Rush) and Jim; grandchildren, Matt (KathyJo) Blake, Susannah (William) Pounds, Erin Blake and Chris Blake; and great-grandchildren, Sidney and Georgia Blake.

At Fran’s request there will be no memorial service.
