Helen Wood, well known artist in Sequim passed away on October 11, 2014 after a series of illnesses.
She was best known for her watercolors and was proud to be both a charter and a lifetime member of the Blue Whole Gallery in Sequim.
Helen was born March 6, 1928 in Rifle, Co. to Fritz Ebler and Clara Critchlow.
On March 15, 1950 she married Charles David Wood in Grand Junction, Colorado. They shared 64 wonderful years together.
For more than three decades in Clallam County and the City of Sequim they had fun planning, building, decorating and living in five different homes.
She is survived by her husband “Dave” of Sequim; their children; Laurel Finta of El Dorado Hills, California and Bradley Wood, of Yelm, Washington; grandchildren Brandon Wood and Mariah Craig.
As she wished, Helen was buried in Sequim View Cemetery, with a private family memorial ceremony.
In her memory, and to help the library acquire more items about cats, donations may be made in Helen’s name to Sequim library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim, WA 98382.
