Ilse Newman

Mrs. Ilse Newman, a 79 year old resident of Sequim, Washington, passed away in Sequim on March 16, 2016 due to a heart condition.

She was born in Germany to Hermann E. Biermer and Hilde Stapelfeld September 4, 1936.

She married Dwight Ashley Newman in Burlingame, California on September 16, 1956.

She was educated at University of California Berkley and worked in retail in California and New Jersey.

She is survived by her son Jay Burke Newman; daughter Kristin Newman; sister Helga Medearis of Davis, California; brother- in-law and sister-in-law, Jay and Cid Newman of Sequim.

Ilse loved her life and friends in Sequim and kept them laughing with her lively sense of humor.
