Jack Munro passed away peacefully on September 16, 2014 after losing his battle with lung cancer.
Jack was born March 23, 1932 to Dr. John H. and Gladys Munro of Hanover, New Hampshire.
Jack spent his early life being reared in Sunapee, New Hampshire attending school at Sunapee Central School through 8th grade. Jack graduated from Towle High School in Newport, NH in 1951. He enrolled in the University of New Hampshire and attended for one
semester.
He then enlisted in the United States Air Force
completing four years of service and was honorably discharged in 1956. Following a short stint at Bentley School of Accounting, Jack was hired by the Boeing Company in 1957 and moved to Seattle.
Jack worked for Boeing for 33 years his final position was Lead Expeditor in Flight Test on Boeing Field. He retired from Boeing in 1990 and moved to Sequim, Washington where he lived until his death.
Jack was an avid golfer and was an active member at many clubs throughout his life including Lake Wilderness Golf Course in Maple Valley, Dungeness Golf Club in Sequim, and Peninsula Country Club in Port Angeles. Jack recorded 7 holes in one throughout his golfing career, a feat he was most proud of.
At Jack’s request there was no service and his remains will be deposited along with his parents in the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
